There are many currencies in game that can be used at various vendors throughout. Here we will go over those currencies, where to get them, where to spend them, and what your limits are for holding them.

| Cartel Coins are in-game currency acquired by spending real money or by subscribing to Star Wars: The Old Republic. With the subscription, you will receive 500 cartel coins per month upon renewal. Another way to get an additional 100 cartel coins is to set up a security key for your account and log in at least once every 4 weeks. Security Key grant is available without a subscription as well. Cartel Coins can be used in-game to purchase a wide variety of special cosmetic items like armor sets, weapons, color crystals, mounts, pets, and unlocks for your accounts or characters. | |

| Credits are the general and most widely used currency in the game. Where to get: You earn credits doing just about everything in game. So, sit back, play the game, sell stuff, buy stuff, craft and sell, do what you feel like, and get credits. WORD OF CAUTION: Do NOT buy from online credit sales places. They are against the Terms of Service for the game, and your account can be banned. Free & Preferred Players have a credit limit of 1,000,000 credits per character.
